Ignition Studies on High-Vitrinite and High-Inertinite Coals Using TGA/DSC, DTIF, EFR, and 20 L Dust Explosive Chamber

The aim of this work was to study the ignition behaviour eight coals different coal ranks, petrographic compositions, and places origin. research allows us gain deeper insight into mechanism relationship between certain properties their during ignition. methodology utilised standard fuel ASTM data, analysis, pyrolysis oxidation reactivity, characteristics generated through lab-scale tests using various measurement methods. results show that, in dust explosion, a homogeneous took place. potential highest for with high content liptinites low inertinites. ranking terms under these conditions can be determined on basis measurements devolatilization rate. During combustion TGA/DSC, cloud, pulverised stream, particles performed according heterogeneous mechanism. showed that reflectance index may most reliable method predicting comparing temperatures both vitrinite-rich inertinite-rich coals.
